On September 13, 2012, Art Market Monitor will present the next Artelligence Conference, Understanding Art as an Asset.
Art Market Monitor editor Marion Maneker has gathered several influential speakers for the conference including Allen Hansen, Noah Horowitz, Michael Findlay, Todd Levin, and Ralph Lerner among others. The schedule includes panels on the future of art fairs, decoding markets, global art sales, and collecting photography.
One of the highlights of this years conference will be a conversation with Arthur Goldberg, one of ArtNews’s Top 200 Collectors, about collecting photographic works as Contemporary art. Using his own experiences, Goldberg will explore the recent acceptance of photography at the top of the market. Goldberg will also discuss with Crozier’s Allen Hansen his decision to open a private museum in Mt. Kisco.
The symposium will also focus on the market for the work of artist Alexander Calder and all participants will receive their own copy of ArtTactic’s report on the Calder market.
