This weekend Hyperallergic puts a spotlight on their home base of  North Brooklyn as co-presenters of Northside Art, the art segment of the 2012 Northside Festival.

Starting today, June 15th and continuing through the weekend, Northside Art will be taking over North Brooklyn.

The weekend starts off tonight with ”Many Conversations”, a group exhibition of local north brooklyn artists, followed on Saturday with Williamsburg Walks, a platform that combines art, with participation from the community on Bedford Ave, and finally ends with the annual Northside Open Studios, where local artists from Greenpoint & Williamsburg open their studios to art enthusiasts and festival attendees.

Hyperallergic is proud to be a part of the largest art community in the world in North Brooklyn and this week they’ve put the spotlight on their own neighborhood in their weekly dose of the best spots to get your art kick in their weekly Art Rx picks.

In this week’s addition, Art RX: 2012 Northside Festival Edition, they highlight some of the best events, studios and art to see in the area, and feature the extensive street art the area is known for hosting.
